Checkout this brilliant footage of a river so full of salmon it looks red!
So many red salmon have returned to Brooks Falls, Alaska, USA, that the river itself seems to glow red with their scales.
Brooke Hartman filmed the extraordinary sight inside Katmai National Park, where bears typically travel long distances to feast on salmon battling their way upstream to spawn.
But this season, the abundance is so extreme that bears can catch fish anywhere - upriver, downriver, and even in nearby lakes.
In the clip, one bear looks almost overwhelmed by the sheer number of salmon/
Brooke explained that when salmon are this plentiful, bears often eat only the choicest parts like the head or belly leaving the rest behind.
Brook uploaded the video on Instagram where it got a lot of attention.
One viewer marvelled: “This is that kind of abundance old books used to mention. Uplifting to see pockets of it still alive.”
Another added: “A common sight in your local stream 40 years ago.”
