A second post-mortem on Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) Reserve Officers’ Training Unit (Palapes) cadet Syamsul Haris Shamsudin has revealed suspicious traumatic injuries, prompting calls for further investigation.
Family lawyer Datuk Naran Singh urged Attorney General Tan Sri Mohd Dusuki Mokhtar to hold an inquest without delay and called on Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Mohd Khalid Ismail to act swiftly.
If an inquest is not pursued, the family plans to file a fresh court application.
