Game of Thrones star Cunningham feels 'tide is changing' as flotilla set to sail to Gaza
Irish actor Liam Cunningham, best known for playing sailor knight Davos Seaworth in “Game of Thrones,” joined on Sunday, August 31, Greta Thunberg and several other prominent pro-Palestinian activists in Barcelona ahead of the departure of the Global Sumud Flotilla.
Walking past the flotilla, the actor told Reuters that he wanted to use his platform to raise awareness about Palestine and the conditions people are facing in Gaza.
Cunningham also touched upon the Arabic-language drama film “The Voice of Hind Rajab” which follows the death of Hind Rajab, a five-year-old Palestinian girl who was killed by Israeli forces in 2024.
The actor referred on how he’s using his popularity from “Game of Thrones” for activism.
