Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has reaffirmed Malaysia’s commitment to strengthening peace and stability in Asean, particularly amid tensions between Thailand and Cambodia.
Speaking at the state-level Program Madani Rakyat (PMR) 2025 in Baling, Kedah, on Saturday (Sept 6), Anwar said while the situation has eased, Asean members are working closely to ensure lasting peace.
He stressed that Malaysia’s success in mediating between Thailand and Cambodia was a collective Asean effort, and praised the unity of the country’s security forces in helping broker peace.
