Mary shared this hilarious clip of her son, who decided to take a shortcut that backfired.
''My son was playing with his dog in the backyard and was trying to race her to the door,'' she told WooGlobe.
''He tried to climb up on a deck box and jump over the railing but tripped.''
His face met the ground with unmatched commitment, while the dog trotted over like a concerned teammate, sniffing around to make sure the little daredevil was still in the game.
