Roblox announced Friday that it is rolling out new short-video and AI features as lawmakers intensify scrutiny of its child safety practices, according to CNBC. Roblox Moments will allow users aged 13 and up to create and share gameplay clips on a platform feed, with moderation and flagging systems in place. The feature launched in limited release on Friday. The company will also introduce AI tools by year-end, enabling users to generate 3D objects, such as monster trucks, tailored to their games. Both videos and AI creations will undergo moderation. Roblox is facing lawsuits claiming its platform design allows predators to exploit minors. The company announced plans to expand its age estimation program, launched in July.
