Iran has strongly rejected the Arab League’s claims over three strategic Persian Gulf islands—Abu Musa, Greater Tunb, and Lesser Tunb—calling them “false and baseless.” Tehran reiterated that the islands are an integral part of its territory, under full sovereignty since 1971 when British forces withdrew. The UAE, however, maintains they belong to Ras Al-Khaimah. Iran accuses the Arab League of distracting from Israel’s aggression in Gaza, Lebanon, and Yemen, urging unity against “Zionist crimes” instead of divisive territorial disputes.
