US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick says a “big deal” with Taiwan could be coming as Taipei seeks relief from a 20% US tariff that took effect on Aug. 7. Taiwan is also preparing for possible semiconductor duties under Section 232, and its Office of Trade Negotiations says bilateral talks are progressing.
