Charlie Kirk's mission to continue, says widow
Erika Kirk, widow of slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk, delivered her first public remarks on Sept. 12, 2025, vowing that her husband’s mission would continue despite his assassination. She described Kirk as a man who 'laid down his life for our nation' and warned those responsible that 'the movement will not die.' She recounted breaking the news to the couple’s three-year-old daughter and thanked President Donald Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance and law enforcement officials for their support in the aftermath of the killing. A young Utah man, identified as Tyler Robinson, 22, was taken into custody on Sept. 11, about 33 hours after the shooting, FBI Director Kash Patel told reporters.
