Watch this surreal yet adorable moment a cat is spotted calmly riding on top of a robot dog on the streets of Shanghai.
Zhu Yu, from Tangshan, China, filmed this unusual sight shows the cat perched comfortably in a small basket that has been fixed securely onto the robot dog’s back.
As the robotic pet trots along the pavement, the cat sits like royalty, completely unfazed by the curious glances of passersby.
It’s clear the owner put effort into the setup, turning the robot dog into a moving chariot for their feline companion.
The clip has gone viral on Rednote, receiving over 130,000 likes, with viewers charmed by the futuristic pet partnership.
One user joked: ‘This is peak 2025 energy.’
Another added: ‘Cats really do rule the world—even the robots.’
