Specially trained Western Australian GPs will be allowed to diagnose and treat ADHD in those aged over 10, but some parents are concerned about younger children stuck on long waitlists. The medical industry is also calling for a national approach, as the age GPs can diagnose the condition in children differs between states and territories.
