Israel has announced the completion of tests for the Iron Beam, now officially named “Or Eitan”, a laser defence system capable of downing drones, mortars, howitzers, and cruise missiles at an almost symbolic cost — less than $2 per shot.
⚡ Unlike the Iron Dome, which relies on $50,000 interception missiles, the Iron Beam offers thousands of consecutive shots without the need for reloading, promising to revolutionise Israel’s air defence.
👉 The system will begin deployment later this year, marking a new era in protection against threats.
