Rising singer D4vd has paused his world tour after police discovered the body of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas in the front trunk of his Tesla, which had been impounded earlier this month. LAPD confirmed the Tesla is registered to the 20-year-old artist, and investigators executed a search warrant at the Hollywood Hills home where he had been staying.
Rivas, missing since April, was identified by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner and her cause is still undetermined. The case has gone viral online, with fans resurfacing alleged photos and a leaked track title “Celeste_Demo unfin.” TMZ reports Celeste’s mother claimed her daughter once dated someone named David, and brands like Hollister and Crocs have suspended ad campaigns with the singer.
While D4vd initially continued performing, he canceled shows following Rivas’s identification, and police say they are pursuing all leads while awaiting autopsy results.
