Agra: A disturbing incident unfolded outside a restaurant in the Sikandra police station area, where a young woman was harassed at gunpoint.
According to reports, the accused, Shyamvir Singh, a school teacher from Mathura, approached the girl in his car along with a companion. He offered her ₹5,000 to accompany him. When the woman refused, he pulled out a licensed pistol and threatened her.
The girl, however, showed courage, confronted him, and later filed a complaint. The video of the incident went viral on social media, prompting swift police action.
Within 24 hours, Sikandra police, along with surveillance and SOG teams, arrested the accused and seized both the car and the pistol used in the crime.
Police confirmed that the accused had also assaulted and threatened to kill the victim when she resisted. He is now in custody, and further investigation is underway.
