Finance Minister II Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan assured Malaysians there is no need to rush to petrol stations when the Budi95 targeted subsidy rolls out, as the subsidised RON95 price of RM1.99 per litre will remain unchanged for eligible recipients.
The programme will be introduced in stages from Sept 27, covering armed forces, police, STR recipients, and eventually all Malaysians with a MyKad and valid driving licence.
Each motorist is entitled to up to 300 litres monthly.
