More flights in, out of Cebu as international airport announces new routes, airline partners
There will be more flights in and out of Cebu as Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) expands its network with new routes and airline partners starting late October. Christine Vilanueva, strategy and communications head of Aboitiz InfraCapital Cebu Airport Corporation, said Jetstar Airways and Firefly Airlines would join partners Philippine Airlines and AirAsia in opening new services. Jetstar will launch Cebu–Brisbane flights on Dec. 3, 2025. Firefly will begin five weekly flights to Kuala Lumpur on Dec. 2, while AirAsia and Philippine Airlines will add routes to Macau, Kuala Lumpur, Davao, Caticlan, Iloilo, and Calbayog. MCIA operator Aboitiz InfraCapital Cebu Airport Corporation CEO Athanasios Titonis said the expansion reflects the airport’s commitment to greater connectivity under the “CebConnects” campaign.
