देशभर में मानसून की वापसी ने हाहाकार मचा दिया है। ओडिशा, मुंबई, तेलंगाना और कर्नाटक में भारतीय मौसम विभाग (IMD) ने ऑरेंज और येलो अलर्ट जारी किया है, जो आने वाले घंटों में और भी भयावह बारिश की चेतावनी दे रहा है। बंगाल की खाड़ी में बना गहरा डिप्रेशन ओडिशा के गंजाम जिले में गोपालपुर तट से टकराया, जिससे राज्य में मूसलाधार बारिश हुई। यह डिप्रेशन धीरे-धीरे पश्चिम की ओर बढ़ रहा है और अगले 24 घंटों में इसके कमजोर होने की संभावना है, लेकिन तब तक यह और भी तबाही मचा सकता है।
बारिश का तांडव इतना भयंकर है कि इसने प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के ओडिशा दौरे को भी प्रभावित किया। भारी बारिश की आशंका के कारण उनकी जनसभा को आनन-फानन में झारसुगुड़ा में स्थानांतरित कर दिया गया।
