The Turkish unmanned fighter Bayraktar KIZILELMA, developed entirely with Baykar’s own resources and intended to be Turkey’s first operational unmanned combat aircraft, has successfully completed its first tethered flight test using the TOLUN guided munition, developed by ASELSAN.
Authorities described the trial as a technological and strategic milestone, confirming air-to-ground integration between the aircraft and an indigenous munition — a step that, according to defence industry leaders, could shape future combat doctrines.
TOLUN is a guided munition integrated with GPS/INS navigation, designed to be launched from aerial platforms via the SADAK-4T multiple carriage station.
