Malaysia has strongly urged the United Nations (UN) to impose sanctions on Israel, stressing that the metastasis of Zionist regime brutality in the Middle East must be stopped.
Delivering Malaysia’s National Statement at the UN General Assembly on Saturday (Sept 27), Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan condemned Israel’s recent strike on Doha as a violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and an insult to mediation efforts.
Mohamad also pressed for urgent UN reforms to keep the organisation relevant in addressing global challenges and urged accountability from the UN Security Council’s permanent members under Resolution 76/272, citing repeated failures to uphold the General Assembly’s will.
