Corruption is cancer, work together to keep M'sia clean, says Azam Baki

A new national blueprint, Keep Malaysia Clean (KMC), aims to instil an anti-corruption culture among Malaysians from early education through to the workplace, said Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki.

Speaking at the launch of the KMC programme by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in conjunction with MACC’s 58th anniversary on Wednesday (Oct 1), Azam said corruption is as chronic as cancer and must be eradicated through collaboration among all authorities, as the MACC cannot work in isolation.

He revealed that the MACC has recovered RM28bil in assets from corruption cases in recent years.
