Collapsed buildings and debris-strewn streets mark the devastation left by the 6.9 magnitude earthquake that struck off the coast of Cebu province, killing at least 69 people.
Drone footage filmed in Bogo City on Wednesday shows buildings, including a McDonald's and a Jollibee, reduced to rubble, with other structures across the city also damaged.
According to the Philippine Office of Civil Defence, at least 69 fatalities and 147 injuries have been confirmed, with the death toll expected to rise. Authorities reported 22 buildings damaged across the region.
The powerful tremor hit near Bogo, in the northern part of Cebu Island, at around 10:00 pm local time (2:00 pm GMT), triggering power outages and significant structural damage.
Rescue operations continued overnight in Bogo and San Remigio, though efforts were hampered by aftershocks and power outages.
