Join me for a real-life recycling moment! My little one enthusiastically "helps" me load up our bags of empty containers for Queensland's Containers for Change program.
We then took our big bags of empties to the Southport Bottles and Cans Return Depot to cash them in. Each container gets us a 10-cent refund, which goes straight into my bank account! Plus, the satisfaction of getting paid and knowing we are actively reducing household waste is huge.
This simple, everyday activity is a fantastic way to teach kids early on that small actions make a big difference for our environment.
