Federal Prosecutor Eduardo Taiano has ordered the forensic analysis of President Javier Milei’s and his sister Karina Milei’s mobile phones as part of the investigation into the $Libra cryptocurrency scam. The measure seeks to determine whether there were direct communications between the Milei siblings and the token’s promoters—Hayden Davis, Mauricio Novelli, and Manuel Terrones Godoy. According to the resolution, investigators will review all individual and group conversations across messaging apps, and cross-reference calls and geolocation data to trace Davis’s movements during his stay in Argentina. The devices were seized on March 6, 2025, just twenty days after the financial scandal broke.
