The Pertubuhan Pelindung Khazanah Alam (Peka) may lodge a report with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) over alleged fund misuse in Universiti Putra Malaysia’s (UPM) dog-culling case.

Peka president Rajesh Nagarajan said the group suspects irregularities in UPM’s payments to a private contractor hired to kill 18 stray dogs.

Speaking at a Sunday (Oct 12) protest outside UPM joined by about 100 activists, students and members of the public, Rajesh said Peka is giving Vice-Chancellor Ahmad Farhan Mohd Sadullah and safety director Ng Yee Guan until next Thursday to explain, or it will report the matter to MACC and protest at the Higher Education Ministry.
