Sara confident flood control mess won't affect her but Go father's link to Discayas may implicate her
Vice President Sara Duterte, in a press briefing on World Pandesal Day on Oct. 16, 2025, stresses that the flood control scandal will not affect her but wary that she will be linked because of the alleged involvement of Sen. Bong Go's father with the Discayas over an infrastructure project. Go is a staunch ally of former president Rodrigo Duterte. The vice president also compared herself to 'ensaymada,' a sweet, brioche-style bread topped with butter, sugar, and grated cheese, popular during snacks or breakfast among Filipinos and President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., Leyte Rep. Martin Romualdez and former congressman Zaldy Co to bread that was difficult to eat.
