Police have detained two men, aged and 23, to assist investigations into a fireworks explosion that occurred during the Deepavali celebration in Kulim early Monday (Oct 20), injuring 22 people.
Initial investigations revealed that the first suspect, who was intoxicated, had placed a firework upside down.
The second suspect lit the firework, but it failed to launch and exploded on the ground.
