Moradabad, UP — A shocking case has surfaced at Jamia Ahsanul Banat Girls Madrasa in Lodhipur, where the management allegedly demanded a virginity certificate from a Class 8 student for re-admission.
The girl’s father, a resident of Chandigarh, lodged a complaint with SSP Satpal Antil, alleging that admission cell in-charge Shahjahan and principal Rahnuma demanded the certificate and, when refused, pressured his daughter to take a transfer certificate.
Following the complaint, police conducted an inquiry and arrested Shahjahan on Friday. A team from the Minority Welfare Department is also expected to visit the madrasa for further investigation.
SP City Ranvijay Singh confirmed that strict action has been ordered against those responsible.
