Asean remains committed to preserving the region as a zone of peace, freedom and neutrality, firmly opposing any actions that threaten global security — including nuclear weapons testing, said Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin.
Speaking after the Asean Defence Ministers' Meeting-Plus (ADMM-Plus), Khaled stressed that any nation seeking engagement with Asean must respect this long-standing principle.
