The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Tropical Storm Fung-Wong continues to intensify as it moves northwest toward the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
Once it enters PAR late Thursday or early Friday, it will be named “Uwan,” and may intensify into a super typhoon. The system currently packs winds of 85 kph, gusts up to 105 kph, and has gale-force winds extending 720 km from its center.
