Kedah police told a media conference on Monday (Nov 10) that the boat carrying about 300 passengers came from the Buthidaung area in Myanmar and intended to enter Malaysia.
They said the journey was believed to have begun about two weeks ago before the deadly boat capsize incident where at least 13 people drowned.
