Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei announced that IAEA inspectors visited several of Iran’s nuclear sites last week, including the Tehran research reactor, amid renewed tension between Tehran and the United Nations’ nuclear watchdog.
Baghaei stated that Iran remains committed to the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and accused the United States, Israel, and some NATO members of “aggressive actions” that have complicated cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
The remarks come after IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi urged Iran to “seriously improve cooperation” and provide full access to nuclear facilities, including Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan — sites reportedly damaged during U.S. strikes earlier this year.
