Chinese President Xi Jinping met with King Felipe VI of Spain in Beijing, praising over 50 years of strong diplomatic relations between the two nations.
Xi said China and Spain have set “a model of friendly coexistence and common development” among countries with different cultures and systems.
The Spanish monarch’s visit marks the first by a Spanish king in 18 years.
