Watch this exhilarating video as a triggerfish tries to attack an underwater diver and is later joined by a companion.
Marlene Schmidt, a travel content creator from Australia, was diving near the Great Barrier Reef when she had this unforgettable encounter.
At first, the Triggerfish tries to stare down Marlene and then slowly approaches her.
When Marlene tries to swim away, the fish gets excited and starts chasing her and is later joined by a companion as well.
Marlene said: “When the triggerfish initially started chasing me, I got so scared that I screamed.
“Triggerfish generally don’t attack people, but they are quite territorial.
“So if you happen to swim too close to their nesting grounds, they will come after you, which I reckon is what I may have done inadvertently.
“I still cannot forget its teeth, they were so sharp!”
