Three key laws - the Federal Roads Act 1959, the Road Transport Act 1987, and the Malaysian Highway Authority (Incorporation) Act 1980 - will be amended next year to pave the way for the implementation of the multi-lane free-flow (MLFF) toll collection system nationwide.
Deputy Works Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Maslan said the proposed amendments would, among other things, cover provisions for toll-evasion offences and the enforcement mechanisms required under the new collection system.
