Malaysia is considering making MyDigital ID mandatory for social media companies to block users under 16 from creating accounts, Deputy Communications Minister Teo Nie Ching said.
She told the Dewan Rakyat on Monday (Nov 24) that the government and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) are in talks with major platforms on implementing stricter age-verification measures.
