Uber launched fully driverless rides in Abu Dhabi with WeRide, marking the Middle East’s first robotaxi service. Riders can book WeRide robotaxis through UberX and Comfort in designated Yas Island zones, with plans to expand to 15 more cities globally. The rollout follows earlier autonomous pilots as Uber and competitors scale robotaxi offerings.
