Cebu quake victims receive construction materials, cash to rebuild homes
Help arrives in concrete, steel, and cash as 225 households in San Remigio town, northern Cebu receive construction materials and labor support to repair or rebuild their homes damaged by the 6.9-magnitude earthquake in September. Fred Dalumpines, Impact Lead for Climate Action at Aboitiz Foundation, said the assistance aimed to help families recover from the Sept. 30, 2025 quake, allowing them to choose materials suited to their needs while meeting partner-supplier quality standards. Of the beneficiaries, 168 households with partial damage received P10,000 each, composed of P3,500 in cement, P3,500 in construction materials, and P3,000 in cash for labor. Meanwhile, 57 households classified as totally damaged received P30,000 each, composed of P12,000 in cement, P12,000 in construction materials, and P6,000 in cash for labor.
