Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) will tighten monitoring and enforcement of licensed premises following a raid on a “men-only” wellness centre in Chow Kit, says Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa.
Responding to concerns in the Dewan Rakyat on Monday (Dec 1), she said operators sometimes misuse approved licences, with activities conducted before or after approval falling outside DBKL’s initial scope.
Dr Zaliha added that the KL Strike Force — involving DBKL, Jawi, JKM and the police — is activated whenever complaints arise and also carries out routine operations.
