Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim rejected claims of government overspending on major infrastructure, saying critics overlook the broader benefits across multiple states, including Terengganu.
Responding to Datuk Rosol Wahid (PN-Hulu Terengganu) in the Dewan Rakyat on Tuesday (Dec 2), Anwar emphasised the Penang LRT project serves more than just Penang island.
Anwar, also Finance Minister, also defended the Kota Madani development, citing the need for more housing for Putrajaya government staff.
