सुप्रीम कोर्ट में मंगलवार को वोटर लिस्ट के 'स्पेशल इंटेंसिव रिवीजन' (SIR) की संवैधानिक वैधता को चुनौती देने वाली याचिकाओं पर तीखी बहस हुई। सुनवाई के दौरान सीनियर वकील प्रशांत भूषण ने चुनाव आयोग (EC) की ट्रांसपेरेंसी पर गंभीर सवाल उठाए। उन्होंने कोर्ट में दलील दी कि आखिर वोटर लिस्ट को 'मशीन रीडेबल फॉर्मेट' (कंप्यूटर द्वारा पढ़ने योग्य) में क्यों नहीं रखा जा रहा है? मामले की अगली सुनवाई अब 4 दिसंबर को होगी।
The Supreme Court on Tuesday witnessed a heated debate on petitions challenging the constitutional validity of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list. During the hearing, senior lawyer Prashant Bhushan raised serious questions about the Election Commission's (EC) transparency. He argued in court why the voter list is not being maintained in a machine-readable format. The next hearing in the case will now be held on December 4th.
