The Russian state corporation Rostec has announced the delivery of a new batch of BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicles to the forces involved in the military operation in Ukraine.

The vehicles were supplied by the High-Precision Complexes holding, which also released a video showing the delivery and the production lines operating continuously. According to the corporation, the delivered BMP-3s feature anti-cumulative grids, armored side screens, upper-hemisphere protection kits, and an additional package nicknamed the “cape,” made of synthetic thermal-insulating and radiation-absorbing materials designed to reduce thermal signature. Each unit also received electronic warfare systems.

Bekhhan Ozdoyev, industrial director of Rostec’s weapons cluster, stated that the BMP-3 remains “one of the most widely used and requested platforms on the contact line,” citing mobility, firepower, and ease of operation as key reasons for its ongoing demand. He added that a coordinated modernization program was developed based on the vehicle’s direct combat experience.
