President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. renews his call to the media to help his administration combat disinformation and misinformation towards eradicating what he tagged as 'crazy conspiracy theories.' Speaking at the year-end fellowship with the Malacañang Press Corps (MPC), Malacañang Cameramen Association (MCA), and Presidential Photojournalists Association (PPA) last Dec. 3, 2025, Marcos lamented that what started off as supposed to be 'funny' and 'entertaining' in cyberspace has now become damaging. The chief executive expressed confidence that through the close cooperation between the government, mainly through the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), and the mainstream media, facts-based reporting would be ramped up to drown out the 'fake news' being spread online.
