Gajjan meets a spirited woman, Pyaaro, who is nothing like the docile bride he imagined: independent, headstrong, and attached to the land rather than fancy roles. As love blossoms, the wedding plans go forward — but en route, tragedy strikes: Gajjan’s baraat (wedding procession) is intercepted by bandits. Gajjan is kidnapped by dacoits before the ceremony can happen.
In desperation to save honor and avoid disgrace for his family, Sucha assumes the groom’s identity. What starts as a desperate cover-up becomes a ridiculously funny and chaotic chain of events. There are misunderstandings, mistaken identities, runaway grooms, and the bandits themselves — once terrifying — end up involved in the madness, with moments of absurd comedy (for example, trying to “toughen up” timid Gajjan by teaching him to shoot).
Through laughter, confusion, and a series of wild events — fights, escapes, confessions — love and loyalty are tested. Friendships, familial bonds, and hidden feelings surface. In the end, the chaos of that wedding-turned-mayhem becomes a journey of self-discovery, acceptance of identity, and unexpected love.
