On Saturday morning, September 1st, 2008, almost a million and a half children readied their school bags, packed their lunch boxes and set out for the first day of the new academic year in Israel. The day marks both end of summer vacation and the beginning of the new school year, a particularly moving experience especially for younger students. Indeed, many new students started their first day of elementary school with much apprehension. Their parents echoed their children's sentiment, making it unclear who was more nervous, the children or the parents. Infolive.tv was on the scene at the Nissoui School in the heart of Jerusalem, to feel the pulse of the people of Israel during their first day of school. F
