Chinese contemporary artist and activist Ai Weiwei took part in the opening of an exhibition of his work in Stockholm in Sweden via a live video link.
Ai Weiwei's criticism of Beijing has made him a thorn in the side of China's communist authorities and he disappeared into custody for 81 days last year. Upon his release, he was charged with tax evasion.
