An international court is due to deliver its sentence on former Liberian president Charles Taylor, who was convicted of war crimes for his role in the Sierra Leone civil war.

The Prosecution is arguing that he should serve 80 years in prison.

Meanwhile, the families of people murdered, raped, or recruited as child soldiers by rebels backed by Taylor say he should be sentenced to life.

Al Jazeera's Yvonne Ndege reports.
