Police in Canada are cracking down on smugglers, who are trying to evade taxes on alcohol by importing it.
From the nearby Islands of St-Pierre-Miquelon, North America's only French territory smugglers bring the drink illegally to a number of ports and beaches in nearby Nova Scotia and Newfoundland.
The islands have profited since the days of prohibition.
